IWLA Youth and Coach take top honors at Youth Hunter Education Challenge
Mark Freese was selected “Coach of the Year” as IWLA Youth program members take 1st Place honors for the 2nd consecutive year in a row at the annual Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC) last week.
The IWLA Youth Program, under the wing of Youth Program Director Ben Kelkye, provides opportunities and incentives for young hunters to develop their marksmanship and hunting skills to become more competent marksmen and better, safer hunters. Even if they do not win an award at the YHEC event, the time that they spend practicing for one makes them better prepared for life as well as the opening day of hunting season.
Thanks to all our sponsors, including our good friends at Rentals Unlimited!

Dayna Valek placed 2nd in the female youth category. Spencer Becker placed 2nd in the male youth category. Justin McAfee placed 2nd in the young adult category. Sarah Moneypenny, Jack Stohlman and Stephanie Kennedy participated as individuals. Outdoor writer/publisher Alan Ellis was on hand to present the awards.
